I visited my parents in Gelsenkirchen for the weekend and took the chance to shoot one of the local coal mines. This one shows the headframe of the mine Zeche Nordstern. It was put out of service in 1993. In 1997 the park of Zeche Nordstern was the vanue of the Bundesgartenschau (the biannual Federal horticulture show in Germany)
